We're Back Open, Hope You're Ready To Play!
Now that we’ve re-opened, things have been going GREAT thanks to awesome customers like YOU! Yeah, we’re talking to you. Thanks to all who have come back to play so far. We’re so grateful that you’ve remembered us after all this time away, and that you’re coming back to get active and have fun! You’ve gotten bubbled up for epic matches of Bubble Soccer, battled it out with family in strategic games of Combat Archery, and everything in between. We’ve been loving seeing people come out and let loose again.
THINGS ARE PICKING UP
We’ve been very busy, and are starting to fill up our days at capacity (based on Ontario’s Step 3 rules). That being said, please be sure to BOOK AHEAD! That’s the way to ensure you save your spot for your next gathering, B-Day, or battle to solve your latest family dispute. We are operating at 50% capacity as per the guidelines, and with our two large courts, archery range, gym, party room, and 4 separate entrances, this is isn’t a problem.
IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK
You can still play all your favourite activities: Combat Archery, Nerf Wars, Saber Wars, Bubble Soccer, and Blacklight Dodgeball. As well as a fun new addition, glow in the dark Basketball, which can be done on its own, or as apart of your Blacklight Dodgeball game. You can also rent our courts to play some regular B-Ball with your friends. And of course, we still have target archery and advanced archery lessons for those who want to channel their inner Hawkeye or Katniss. We can never be too ready for the zombie apocalypse after all. We have expert coaches, and up to 50 pound bows that you can shoot as we progress you through the lesson.
COME PLAY
So all that being said, it’s time to lose some of that lockdown weight in the most fun ways possible. Come get active with us at Archers Arena and learn that exercise doesn’t have to be a chore, birthdays can be a blast, and work parties CAN be fun after all. If you have any hesitations know that we prided ourselves on keeping things super clean before the pandemic, but have taken things to a whole new level to ensure your safety, and ours. Between uses, our bows, Bubble Soccer bubbles, Nerf blasters, and all of our equipment are now cleaned thoroughly with iso-propyl alcohol as well as sterilized and deodorized with UVC lights. We’re ready if you are. Just remember to BOOK AHEAD to guarantee your spot.
Thanks again to all who have come out so far, it’s been great seeing so many familiar players, and lots of new ones too. We’ll see you soon, in the Arena!
-Team Archers Arena
P.S. During the lockdowns we were keeping quite busy on TikTok and went from 10K to almost 350K followers. Be sure to follow us here to keep up to date with all things Archers Arena, and hopefully get entertained and learn something along the way. You can also check us out on Instagram or Facebook.
We're Coming Back!
Hey everybody! As Ontario gets closer to step 3, we’re getting ready to re-open, and we’re now taking pre-bookings for mid July. We have all your favourite activities to choose from, such as Combat Archery, Nerf Wars, Bubble Soccer, Dodgeball or Saber Wars. We’ve also recently added basketball and a full weight gym! If all that isn’t enough for you, we even have Toronto’s only 100ft indoor Archery Range so you and your apocalypse team can train for the next “hunger games”. Or just practice your aim.
Here at Archers Arena, we’ve taken this time off to reflect on what worked best, and what needed improving. Especially focusing on how to deliver the same fun experience in a post COVID world. Our cleaning procedures were always top notch, but we’ve taken them to a whole new level by thoroughly cleaning and washing our gear with iso-propyl alcohol as well as sterilizing and deodorizing with UVC lights.
We’ve compartmentalized the Arena and all of our bookings now have their own separate entrances. When you come it, you’ll NEVER mix with another group. We’ve even made it easier to book online in case some of your friends bail on you (it’s sad but it happens). Now when you book online, it won’t charge you, and everyone can pay separately or in one lump sum on the day. The only way you would get charged is if nobody shows up. The no show fee is only for 4 people max. Even if you booked for 10 or more. This is to try to ensure the initial organizers of the fun don’t get penalized anymore if a few of their flakey friends are no shows.
One of the other big upgrades we’re in the process of getting ready for you is a brand new, MUCH bigger party room. Equip with a pool table, photo booth, foosball, with lots of extra space to social distance. It’s going to be the PERFECT place to hang out and celebrate with your friends and fam. In between pelting each other with foam arrows of course.
During the lockdowns we were also keeping quite busy on TikTok and went from 10K to over 250K followers. Be sure to follow us here to keep up to date with all things Archers Arena, and hopefully get entertained and learn something along the way. You can also check us out on Instagram or Facebook.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel, and we’re so excited to see you guys again! Book your next birthday party now!
See you soon players!

Toronto’s ONLY 100 Foot Indoor Archery Range
As per the province of Ontario’s current stay at home order which is still in effect and was extended until Feb. 22nd in Toronto, things are on a pause. But that hasn’t stopped us from working to ensure The Arena is better than ever for you when it’s game on.
When we’re back open, one of the many new features we have to offer is a 100 foot indoor Archery Range so you can practice your skills, or develop new ones. In fact, we have Toronto’s only 100 foot indoor range. You’ll be able to launch arrows in a safe and fun manner with plenty of room for social distancing. Bring your own equipment and shoot up to 50 pounds. If you demonstrate you are skillful we can increase the poundage on a case by case basis. Arrows must be field tips. No broad head arrows as those would tear up our targets.
Our Archery Range will be limited to 6 people at one time. Which gives more than enough space in our massive facility. We will be offering target Archery on weekdays and Sat/Sun early morning. Pricing for the range at 60 feet and under is $25/hr with your own equipment, if you want to fire arrows from 100 feet it’s $30/hr just because the range needs to be extended and that takes up more space.
Another thing to consider trying at Archers Arena is getting a lesson from one of our expert coaches. You can train and learn at 30, 60, 80, and yeah, even 100 feet. Read more about the lesson process and pricing here. There is a reduced cost if you bring your own bows and field tips. We have plenty of rentals to choose from if you don’t have your own gear yet. Whether shooting at our range or getting lessons you can bring your own target paper, perhaps a cardboard cutout of your arch nemesis, or just buy some target paper from us at $3.00 a pop. We always have some in stock if need be.
Access to our range all depends on availability, first come first serve. Booking in advance is recommended, especially for the 100 foot court as the space needs to be extended to accommodate. All this and more will be available when the lockdown orders are lifted and it’s time to continue training for the apocalypse.
Hopefully see you soon!

An AWESOME Way To Celebrate a B-Day Or Event During Lockdown
Ever wanted to have an EPIC NERF BATTLE in the comfort and safety of your home? Yeah, you have, we know. Everyone needs a little fun in their life, that’s where we come in.
While our specialty is in person, player vs. player action, we are adjusting to the times, and to the new Ontario lockdown orders. Along with innovating new safe ways to keep all the activities you love alive for when we can return, we also offer another super fun option. Why not bring ARCHERS ARENA home to you?
One of the exciting services we CAN still offer are at home NERF packages. At home birthday parties are getting more and more popular. Especially during lockdowns. If you’re getting a bit stir crazy and need to let out some steam on the ones you love and/or are quarantined, or you want to give someone a memorable birthday party, we have JUST the arsenal to do it with.
Nerf Blaster rentals come in many options to fit your needs. And we even do free delivery in the GTA (within 20 km). Curb-side pickup available as well. Pick up in the store and save 20 dollars.

Toronto Has Gone Back To A Modified Stage 2 And We Are Limiting Our Services
Hello amazing customers and community of Archers Arena. We regret to inform you that we’ll be limiting our services until at least mid November. We were having fun starting up again with you all, but COVID cases are on the rise and new limitations have been put on indoor groups and recreational sports. Toronto, Ottawa, and Peel Region are going back to a modified stage 2. For the time being, we are limiting our services to only training sessions. That means either Target Archery, shooting on our range, or Archery Lessons. We based the decision to just stick to training on the guidelines below.
This way we can meet the requirements and keep everyone super safe in our 10,000 square foot facility. We hope you are all staying happy and healthy these uncertain times. Our hearts go out to all those affected by COVID as well as those affected by the lockdowns. Hang in there, stay strong, and know that we’ll get past this together. As one of the last standing Combat Archery facilities in Toronto we’ve gone through pretty much everything by now. We know the road before us won’t be easy and may be more of a mountain, but we will figure out how to adapt and climb it, we always have.
We’re passionate about all of our activities and giving people of all ages an extremely fun workout, and a place to play. Really though, we’re passionate about you guys. Whether it’s those who have just come once for a birthday, bachelor party, bar mitzvah, or those who are a part of our amazing and ever expanding Combat Archery Community. We’ve celebrated and played so much with you all, and we look forward to doing it again. Thanks for the good times, and trusting us with your days and nights of fun.
We wish you all the absolute best. Take care of each other, stay kind, stay safe, and we’ll hopefully see you all very soon!
Much love!

Team Building For Your Business Is More Important Now Than Ever
It’s a strange time for business owners and employees alike. Many more people are working from home due to COVID-19. Everyone is adjusting to this in their own way, but the fact of the matter is that this kind of isolation and upheaval from the norm has caused many people stress, anxiety, and even depression. These aren’t easy times by any means, and I think we all know that.
Team Building Can Help
This is why we want to make the case that team building for your business is more important now than ever. It really is. Those zoom meetings and digital cocktail hours are fine, but they don’t have the true human to human connection that we all crave. Even more, if your employees or coworkers are in the customer service industry and are currently “essential” workers, they’re probably having a hard time too. Many people are on edge and sadly, our amazing hospitality service staff and heroic front line workers sometimes take the brunt of it. It’s time you have some good safe fun as a team, and build morale while pelting each other with foam arrows in an epic game of Combat Archery.
Not the solution you were expecting?
Hear us out. Combat Archery is the perfect socially distanced sport. Staying 6 feet away from each other is not a problem at all in our spacious 10,000 square foot facility. You can launch marshmallow tipped foam arrows across the large court from your personal bubble. Plus, if someone gets too close for your liking, you’re holding a bow, and arrows are everywhere. Before COVID, we were used to hosting massive corporate team building events. We’ve changed things up of course. Even though the city of Toronto is currently allowing 50 people or less inside indoor businesses, we’re playing it safe and limiting our team building to 24 people for the time being. That would make 4 teams, on 2 courts, with 6 people per team. Combat Archery is essentially dodgeball with bows and foam tip arrows. It’s exciting, a great workout, and lots of fun for people of all ages and skill sets.
Team Building At It’s Finest
Combat Archery is a perfect way to team build, and let off some steam while you do it. With dozens of game modes led by our expert coaches, your teams will have to work together to come out on top. While it’ll 100% be a joy for those with a competitive side, we also harness the community aspect of gaming, and make sure everyone feels included, safe, and gets something from their time in the arena. Just stepping outside one’s comfort zone with your co-workers in a place like Archers Arena and can help build confidence, camaraderie, and spirit.
We Keep Things Safe And Clean
If you’re at all worried about safety, we’ve been keeping things clean and safe since day 1 due to constantly hosting large group events. We’ve always sterilized and deodorized all equipment between use. Now, post COVID, we’ve even added UVC lights to the mix to take things even further. We love hosting team building events, and even though our group limit has gone down, we promise the same high energy, rewarding and exciting experience we’ve always given. Keep aiming!

Keeping Things Safe And Clean In The Times Of COVID-19
When Sam opened Archers Arena, one main philosophy he’s always had was that no matter how much money someone spends investing in a facility, if it’s not incredibly clean, it will look terrible. Cleanliness is the easiest thing a business can do to make their space look welcoming and appealing. At Archers Arena we go above and beyond to ensure you and your family, friends, or enemies can focus on the games instead of counting the specks of dirt on the wall. Which, lets be honest, is not nearly as fun as Combat Archery, Nerf Wars, Bubble Soccer, Dodgeball or Saber Wars.
We’ve all been in that nasty gas station washroom that you want to leave as quickly as you ran in to relieve yourself. It’s never a good feeling to be in a dirty store or restroom, and Sam found it personally made him “lose respect” for the space. When we keep Archers Arena clean, we find our customers respect our space more. Sam picked up many of his state of the art cleaning ideas and philosophies from traveling and visiting some of the top 5 star hotels. You’ll see that at The Arena we have so many cleaning supplies and tools, as well as strict washroom cleaning schedules, and incredible techniques for cleaning and sterilizing all the gear.
We’ve come a long way over the years due to emerging technology. For example, Sam remembers a time when he and the coaches would need to personally vacuum every square inch of the facility, but now we have robot vacuum cleaners to lighten the load. We also use Dyson vacuums, Bissell Deep Cleaning Vacuums for all the spills and stains, isopropyl alcohol, washing machines for all the linens, and since COVID we’ve added sterilizing and deodorizing with UVC lights to our comprehensive cleaning list. We literally do everything we can to make sure all our patrons have a safe and spotless space to play. We even have a sign that asks our customers to let us know if they are unhappy with our cleanliness and if so, we’ll fix it ASAP.
So much time and effort has gone into make Archers Arena what it is today. We’re proud of our facility, but if you have ANY concerns whatsoever, just let us know. We are always looking for ways to improve our protocols. Rest assured though, we go out of our way to keep things as clean and safe as possible. We did this before COVID, and we’ll keep doing it, while upping our game every chance we get.

Visit www.ArchersArena.com to learn more about our space, and all the incredible activities we have to offer.
Keeping Things Safe Since Day 1
Safety has always been our number one priority since Archers Arena opened. For starters, when Sam Lai (owner of the Arena) started playing Combat Archery, he noticed that getting shot on side of the face or on the top of the head still stung a bit. This led him to implement hockey helmets instead of paintball masks.
WE’LL PROTECT YOUR NOGGIN
Nothing against the places that use paintball masks, but the feedback we were getting was that people were finding it a bit hard to breath, and the paintball masks weren’t really doing the job with the full force the foam arrows could potentially hit with. A hockey helmet is built to withstand a puck to the face. This makes the hockey helmet a much nicer choice while being pelted with a foam arrow. People can bring their own, or use one of ours, which we thoroughly clean wash with iso-propyl alcohol as well as sterilize and deodorize with a UVC light so you can put your battle gear on with peace of mind.
CHANGING THE BOW
Another successful change we’ve made along the way is that we used to play with heavier bows. At a whopping 30 pounds it was very easy to get back at your boss on team-building day. We then reduced the bows to 22 pounds and found it led to way less painful hits. That made the game a much more inclusive experience for people of all comfort levels with the sport. We also use the thickest foam you can buy anywhere for our arrow tips. This helps to ensure your mighty uncle Hank doesn’t bruise your sweet aunt Mod, and everyone can have a good time.
HOLD. HOLD. HOLD.
The hold command was an addition by a past coach. If someone yells hold, everyone is trained to get down on one knee and do the same. Coaches teach everyone about this important command. This is in case anything is wrong or there are any safety concerns on the court. If you’re having a great time and somebody gets injured, no one is having a good time. Before we can have fun, we must be safe. That is our number one rule. We never want people to leave injured. This applies to our coaches and staff, as well as our customers.
ARM GUARDS
Arm guards are something we implanted right away. We saw people leaving other facilities with bruises or cuts on their arms from the bowstrings. We don’t think it’s necessary to risk drawing blood at your niece’s birthday party. So sanitized armguards are available for anyone who wants to use them.
SHIELD YOUR FAMILY JEWLS
Something no one ever asked for is a used jock. Can you imagine the horror of checking in and out sweaty jocks like shoes at a bowling ally? We wouldn’t want to do that to you, or our staff. However, we do 100% recommend that men wear a jock to avoid becoming a permanent soprano. Okay, we’re being a bit dramatic but we have definitely seen some pretty nasty crotch shots, and feel it’s better safe than sorry. You can ask any of our regulars, a jock is the way to go.
A CULTURE OF SAFETY
We guess the point we’re making here is that safety has always been a priority for us at Archers Arena. When COVID-19 changed the world, we were ready. We’ve been dealing with large groups, birthday parties, shared equipment, and much more for many years before this. We’ve always been cutting edge in the safety department and we’re not going to stop now. There’s nothing fun about getting hurt or sick when you just wanted a fun night out, and rest assured, at Archers Arena we go above and beyond when it comes to keeping things clean and safe during all of our awesome activities.

A Love Letter To Combat Archery
The first time I tried Combat Archery (also known as Archery Tag) at Archers Arena in Toronto was for a friends B-day. I enjoyed it, but the main thing I noticed was how quickly it went by and how good of a workout it was. It’s a really good workout. I was surprised. After a few hours of running around and pelting my friends with arrows, I was absolutely exhausted, sweating, and my crotch region hurt a lot. This is because I didn’t take the website’s advice and wear a jock, so I got pegged square in the nut sack a few times.
Disclaimer #1: Wear A Jock
Anyway, we happened to show up on a night called “Community Night”, which fell on a Friday. So there were other archers there, some new to the game like us, but also some more seasoned players. The vibe was friendly, and at the end of the evening the coach welcomed us back. They said something like “we do this every Friday”. On the drive home, I pondered. I’d wanted to make some big changes moving into the New Year and a workout routine was one of them. I asked myself if this could be a sport I could play every week, and the quick answer was “Hell Yes!” As the great Charles Bukowski once said, “go all the way.” So I went all in.
Disclaimer #2: Go All The Way
I made a promise to go play Combat Archery at least once a week, and was able to make that consistent. I played every Friday, and on Tuesdays sometimes too. The months passed, and just like with many things, as I put more time and practice in, I kept getting better. I was no longer as scared to face off against some of the best players. I even started entering into tournaments that took place in Toronto at Archers Arena, and in Ottawa at Archery Games. I met so many great people and incredibly skilled Archery Combat players at those tournaments. Players hailing from Montreal’s Combat D’Archers, folks from Archery Games in Boston, and from Vancouver’s 6 Pack Beach, which I even got to go visit and and join in their community night on their awesome indoor sand court. Now, I’m not trying to pretend like I went to some Archery Combat boot camp where I did nothing but breath, eat, sleep, and poop the sport until I came out a hardened archer warrior… but I did immerse myself in the community, and I was consistent.
Disclaimer #3: Be Consistent
With anything in life really, to see progress, you have to be consistent. Chip away at it, slowly but surely. That’s why I feel that if you’re interested in diving into Combat Archery, or another passion of some sort, really give it time. Understand that you’re going to fail a bunch, that’s part of the fun. Honestly, I’ve listened to an unhealthy amount of motivational speakers in my lifetime and I would say that one of the most common threads in all of the conflicting noise is that we must embrace failure. I’ve had my good days and bad days. For starters, I can proudly say I’ve worn a jock every time since that first fateful day when my gonads were threatened. See, I learned from my first fatal error, adjusted, and improved. There were lots of these little improvements, and still are. The gang is starting to call me the “human net” because I catch everything, but you think this was always the case? I was pummelled with foam arrow after foam arrow until I really started to hone my catching skills.
Disclaimer #4: It’s About The Community
When it all comes down to it, it really is about the community. It would be fun to take all the credit for how far I’ve come in this sport, but that would be a flat out lie and I’d deserve to be full drawed at point blank in the tallywacker (no cup). It’s the community that has kept me coming back, the coaches, the regulars, the newbies, everyone. Without getting too sentimental, there are many great people who come and go from Archers Arena, as well as some just as great people from other facilities that we’ve competed against along the way. We all come from so many different backgrounds, careers, and life experiences. However, we are brought together by one common thing, the love of Combat Archery.
Disclaimer #5: Find a Common Goal
For whatever reason, us Combat Archers enjoy aggressively launching foam arrows at each other, or maybe it’s the games, or the competition we love. Either way, it’s amazing how this shared interest can bring out such a wide array of people. We go to battle on the court, but in between it’s all smiles. It makes me think about our species, and this wacky time we live in. It makes me wonder if we’d all be better off, and much happier, spending our moments on this earth focusing on the ways we’re the same rather than the ways we are different.
Disclaimer #6: We’re All In This Together
I’ve been playing this sport for over a year and a half now, and honestly, I have more fun every time I come out. As things are opening back up and regulations are loosening over group activities, I understand that times have changed. All businesses that host Combat Archery are having to adjust the ways they operate. The good news is that by the nature of this sport being a group activity with shared equipment, these establishments have been ahead of the curb on cleanliness and safety. I know that if we all work together, and learn from each others communities, we will get through this uncertain time. In doing so we’re going to come out of this pandemic stronger and safer than ever. Looking forward to the day when we can all join together again for another epic tournament, but until then, much love, and keep aiming!

Archery Lessons For Kids @ Archers Arena
We recently had a lovely lady bring in her daughter for a one on one archery lesson. It was her kids first time trying out archery, and she had an absolute blast. As they were leaving The Arena, the young girl beaming with joy, her mother mentioned she wished she’d known about this sooner. Well, that’s why we’re writing up this blog post, so that doesn’t happen again. We want to make sure that you and your family are aware of this incredible service we offer here at Archer’s Arena.
If you’re in the Toronto area and looking for a fun activity for your child, look no further than archery lessons at Archer’s Arena. For only $40.00/hr per person, we can work with kids as young as 5 years old, and help them form a strong foundation in the incredible sport of archery. It’s interactive, fun, and challenging. Due to COVID-19, it’s been a hard year for everyone, but especially kids who have lost many of their extra-curricular activities. This is why we feel strongly that this is the perfect, safe, and socially distanced sport to try out.
We find many children after only 20 minutes with one of our coaches, gain confidence, and develop a passion for archery. We’ll have them hitting targets in no time, and feeling great about themselves, and their new skills.
The Equipment:
We know what you’re thinking… “Archery for children, you must be mad!”. Well there’s zero need to worry as we always start the training with foam tip arrows. That’s right, FOAM TIPPED ARROWS. They can be shot point blank at you without leaving a mark. These are the same arrows we use when groups come to play Archery Combat at our facility. For archery lessons, If your child is 10 and over, they can move to real sharp tip and field tip arrows eventually. This is only once they are comfortable with the safety protocols, and they move from beginner to intermediate in their skill level. You and the coach will be able to gauge when and if they are ready.
We have bows ranging from 15 pounds to 30 pounds, but find the most popular and easy to use among the young crowds are the 15 pound bow from PSE archery, or the 18 pound bow from Bear Archery.
Health and Safety:
We realize that folks in Toronto still have COVID concerns and we take extreme precautions at our faculty to ensure that every touched item is cleaned thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol as well as sterilized after each use with a UV-C light so you and your little archer can have complete peace of mind. We also currently require all our customers and staff to wear masks.
Are You Raising The Next Katniss or Robin Hood?
There’s only one way to find out. You can book your child a spot today by reaching out to us at info@archersarena.com or giving us a call at (647) 992-7362. They’ll love it! We hope to see you and your family at our facility (located in Toronto), and once you all get yourselves trained and ready, perhaps it’ll be time to jump into the Arena and battle it out together in an action packed game of Combat Archery.
Bubble Soccer With Your COVID Bubble @ Archers Arena
Toronto is opening back up, and here at Archers Arena we’re happy to say we’re doing the same. We’re incredibly grateful to see folks coming back to our facility and having a blast with us again.
We have lots of fun activities to do with your favourite group, but none more suited to these wacky times than Bubble Soccer. That’s right, you heard us, BUBBLE SOCCER!
Get your favourite COVID bubble together, get suited up in one of our three bubble sizes, and have yourselves a fun and safe workout from the safety of your very own personal bubble.
Yes, COVID has changed the world, but it hasn’t changed your ability to destroy your friends and family in an epic game of Bubble Soccer, has it? No, it hasn’t. Bubble Soccer can be played in groups up to 10, and for larger groups we can accommodate by opening up another court. For $35.00 per person you get your first hour with training included. Bubble Soccer is played in our air-conditioned arena, with 20+ game modes, all lead by our expert coaches.
You’ll have so much fun you won’t want to stop. The good news is, you won’t have to because for only an extra 10 bucks per person you can get another full hour. Whether it’s for another hour of Bubble Soccer because you have unfinished business, or you want to use that additional hour to try another one of our epically awesome activities like Archery Combat, Saber Wars, or Nerf.
Health and Safety:
Due to the current nature of our world with COVID we totally understand if you’re hesitant to plan a group activity. For any of you still on the fence about coming out, no need to worry. We assure you our safety and cleaning protocols here at Archers Arena are, and have always been cutting edge. We’ve taken things even further to ensure that you, your family, and your friends have a perfectly safe experience. We thoroughly clean every bubble suit after each use. The entire bubble is washed with iso-propyl alcohol as well as sterilized and deodorized from the inside with a UVC light so you and your gang can play with peace of mind, and no germs.
Masks are required inside the facility and in-between games, but while you’re playing on the court and inside your bubble you can take it off, as long as it’s close by and ready to wear again once the games are done. We want you to feel safe when joining us at the Arena and our coaches will be there to enforce the new rules, and to ensure everyone is feeling comfortable and secure.
For an activity like Bubble Soccer (just like any sport) there can be minor injuries. So we encourage you to stretch before and after, and to move at your own pace. To ensure you have the best experience wear comfy workout clothes and running shoes.
Bubble Up:
So, what are you waiting for? Get your bubble together and come join us at the Arena for a game of Bubble Soccer. Reach out at info@archersarena.com or call (647) 992-7362 to book your spot today!
Reopening Archers Arena
We had closed the Arena gates on March 16 amid safety and health concerns for our employees and customers, we would like to announce that we would soon be reopening our facility following the strict recommendations and guidelines laid down by the government.
Private Party starting at 4 people
Dear Archers,
We hope you and your loved ones are safe and keeping well.
We had closed the Arena gates on March 16 amid safety and health concerns for our employees and customers, we would like to announce that we would soon be reopening our facility following the strict recommendations and guidelines laid down by the government.
To ensure and practice the recommended physical distancing measures, we’ll be limiting the number of people to smaller groups and will only be allowing appointment-based bookings. How to keep your kids entertained during 2020 March Break – The Real Deal
The March break is already here and unless you work-from-home or your entire family plans to go out on a vacation, kids are going to be home. And we agree with you that keeping kids entertained isn’t quite easy.
But, guess what?
We love kids.
The March break is already here and unless you work-from-home or your entire family plans to go out on a vacation, kids are going to be home. And we agree with you that keeping kids entertained isn’t quite easy.
But, guess what?
We love kids. Here is a video from the March Break Camp 2019
“LESS SCREEN TIME, MORE FUN TIME.”
A parent that chooses to remain anonymous says she wants her child to get away from the mobile phones and iPads and to have some old-school playground fun.
With our safe facility, expert coaches and fun-game modes, the kids DO NOT GET BORED and have all the fun running around our 10,000 sq. ft. arena. So when your kids reach back home, they’ll have a sound goodnight sleep too.
Well this February being a leap year, you have an extra day to make-up your mind. We have special offers going on, so you hurry up and book now.
With March knocking at the door, we had to bring our very sough-after kid’s camp. Seriously, kids love it. For kids ranging from 7 to 15-year old, our almost legendary camp puts together a day full of exciting and fun activities including Soccer, board games, dodgeball, bubble soccer, LARPing, VR station, Nerf wars and Combat Archery.
Here is what our everyday schedule looks like.
Schedule
8:30 am Drop-off
9:00 Ice Breaker Games
9:15-10:30 Combat Archery
10:30-11:30 Bubble Soccer
11:30am-1pm: Lunch and Movie
1pm-2:30 pm: Nerf Wars
2:30pm-3-15pm: Dodgeball, Hide and Seek, Saber Wars
3:00pm Pickup.
Supervised Late pickup $10/hour until 5:00pm, after 5:00pm $1/minute
Combat Archery is like Dodgeball with a bow and arrow, so no ball and yes bow and arrows. It is a team-based activity that helps your child learn social skills and working with a team in a quick-paced environment. So your child learns not only a brand new sport of archery but also life-skills. We have over 9000 game-modes (DragonballZ speak), and are we constantly adding to the list.
Our game of Bubble Soccer is soccer (or Football -how Joga Bonito is known as worldwide) but with a twist. Players have to get inside a bubble suit and play the game while bumping into each other. For kids it is like becoming a human bumping car themselves without you having to worry about the impact because the bubble absorbs all the impact. We have many game modes such as the bowling, sumo wrestling, tag. If there is a lesson that Bubble Soccer gives us – it is whatever life brings your way and you must always stand your ground.
Nerf Wars involves Nerf guns, foam darts, and simulated warfare. Everyone shoots at each other safely and play war games through different game modes that push different challenges on the players. Key learnings from the game are cooperation and strategy. It's a lot of fun for kids of all ages.
Saber Wars and/or LARPing: Kids engage in mock role-playing games with light-sabers and other props and get to become Jedi Knights, Archers, Rogues, Samurai and Berserker. They choose their weapon class and face-off in a gladiator style game.
How we put it, LARPing is like an acting lesson or visual realization lesson that’s fun for all kids.
Ninja Academy: Circuit training and fitness drills, campers will run through various stations where they will be challenged. This helps kids think on their feet.
Lunch: Pizza for lunch and a drink is included, or you can even bring your own packed lunch. We have a refrigerator and a microwave available.
Table Games: Pool, Ping Pong, Foosball, Board Games: Exploding Kittens, Monopoly duel, Uno, Pandemic, King of Tokyo
Virtual Reality: Play various VR Games available with our HTC Vive.
Movie Screening: Netflix, Disney Plug, Amazon prime and Crave.

Yes - that time of the year when we make promises to self - the time for New Year’s resolutions.
The tradition of New Year’s resolution goes way back in time but as long as you keep at your resolution track you can skip the history lesson.
Resolutions majorly are of two kinds – kicking a bad habit or starting a positive habit. And like most things in life, most resolutions are common. Always remember that whether your goal is short-term or long-term, there is no goal that you cannot accomplish.
Without further ado, we at the Arena, are listing down 10 most common New Year’s resolutions and how we can help you achieve them.
Exercise more – What if you are a self-proclaimed #GymFreak that pumps iron every-day or that ultra-runner that runs weekly marathons – is there really scope for you to exercise more? So for everyone alike – if your resolution is to exercise more – come over to Archers Arena and choose to have a fun workout – and the best part? You get to decide what you want – Combat Archery, Nerf Wars, Bubble Soccer or Saber Wars and not your trainer. So now sweating can be fun.
Lose weight - If you’re one of those who paid the annual membership fee to the best gym in town when 2019 came in and showed up only the first 3 days – well be honest to yourself. You’d probably do not like an instructor chasing you around the gym. So what can you do in 2020 to lose weight? Join our community night every Friday where you can play 2 hours of intense cardio for only $39.82. And we’ll be adding more dates in the new year to our community night. *wink wink*

We have the best rates, discounted packages – more affordable than your neighbourhood sweatshop. We don’t make you buy any equipment, any musical instrument. Thank us later for saving your money on the gym subscription.
Quit smoking – For the time you are at the Archers Arena, you are always having a good time. So more endorphins kicking in – more dopamine (happy hormones) – and you are no more dependent on cigarettes. It has been scientifically proven but we’ll skip the science lesson, in case you still want to know the details – read here. Also, we’re a no-smoking zone – so you can’t really smoke in here.
Spend more time with family and friends – All of what we do at Archers Arena is family-friendly – so if you’re 5 and above – get ready to have some fun. If you don’t like your cousins, well you can choose from arrows or nerf pellets (we won’t tell on you). Jokes aside, physical activity with family and friends is known to help build lasting bonds. So, more reasons for you to come over.
Travel more – If you have a ‘Wanderlust’ tattoo – we can totally understand. How about travelling the world and competing in Combat Archery? Montreal wins yet again, but which Toronto team will show up next?
Before we dive-in to the blog, we at Archers Arena would like to thank everyone for coming to the tournament and making it a big success. Special thanks to the teams, friends and family that travelled across from Montreal and Ottawa. We’d also like to thank the people behind the court, without their support wouldn’t have been possible.
Montreal Originals (OG) beat The Untoucha-bows to win the 4th Edition of the Tri-City Combat Archery Tournament on Friday, November 23 in Toronto.
From left to right - Members of Team Untoucha-bows and Montreal OG after the final match of the Tri-City Combat Archery Tournament held at Archers Arena, Toronto.
This was the third tournament, Montreal OG have won under Olivier’s leadership. This time around too, it wasn’t a cake-walk for the Montreal team - here are the highlights.
The 7-hour long event saw back-to-back matches between teams from Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. The round-robin games saw each team compete against everyone and in the end the top four competed for guts and glory. Here is the round-robin points table from the game-day.
The points-table from the 4th Tri-City Combat Archery Tournament hosted by Archers Arena in Toronto.
Unstable Unicorns, the Ottawa team, took the third place while another Toronto Team – The Lollipops- came in fourth.
The Tri-city Combat Archery tournament is not only - a great way to promote the sport we all love across borders and beyond - but also a healthy way to keep the top-performing players and seasoned veterans in that competitive spirit.
The teams could go head-to-head next in Vegas tentatively on February 19th. If this doesn’t materialize the 5th Edition of the Tri-City Combat Archery Tournament is being planned alongside which will be held in Ottawa. The Archery Games Ottawa will be hosting the tournament sometime in February 2020. The organizers have decided that the tournament this time around will have a giant-ass Tri-City trophy and take-home team-plaques.
This February, Archers Arena will be travelling to Ottawa to reclaim what’s rightfully theirs. And if you’re one of the beloved fans, members of the Archers Arena community from ‘The Six’ – you are all cordially (we can’ be more formal than this) to come and cheer for us in Ottawa.
The tournament will be held over the weekend, so you have even more reasons to join us. Feel free to email us at info@archersarena.com if you have any questions. You can even call at (647)-992-7362. We’ll be posting updates, tournament rules and venue details soon. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more.
While the Montreal has been consistently playing with their ‘A-team’, Toronto experimented by shuffling its players across different teams. This time however, Toronto is expected to stack its best players together.
“We’re coming for the throne. We’re going to be sending out our best team this time,” said Sam Lai, founder – CEO of Archers Arena. “So Ottawa and Montreal teams, better watch out for us.”
Ashley one of the crowd-favourite this year, struck the gong the maximum number of times during the tournament often saving her team entire matches. And coach Josh, the team-captain for The Untoucha-bows caught 3 arrows in magical Super Saiyan god level like mode. Here is the footage.
Who makes the final roster is a mystery as of now, but do comment below or share the names of your favourite coaches and/or players that you’d want to represent Toronto.
Tri-city Combat Archery Tournament comes to Toronto this Saturday
The 4th Edition of the Tri-City Combat Archery Tournament is going to be held on 23 Nov. 2019 in Toronto.
The event will be held at Archers Arena, also where the first edition of the tournament took place about 3 years ago. Archers Arena is located at 1140 Sheppard Ave West, Suite 3, Toronto.
The Tri-City tournament began as an initiative to promote the sport of Combat Archery not just in Toronto but all over eastern Canada.
“Three years ago, we reached out to five other Combat Archery locations in Canada. Since only three accepted, we’re called tri-city,” said Sam Lai, founder – CEO of Archers Arena.
Archers Arena hosted the first edition in October 2017, where Combat d'Archers from Montréal beat Archery Games and Archers Arena.
The Archers Arena team avenged the home-defeat 10 months later when Combat d'Archers hosted the second edition of the tournament in Montréal.
The third and latest edition of the tournament was hosted by Archery Games in Ottawa, where Combat d'Archers came out the winners yet again.
“This year we’ve all gotten better – we know new tricks, we’re all shooting faster, we’re more accurate, everyone is more experienced,” he said.
Since Archers Arena beat Combat d’Archers in Montreal, “this is now going to be a grudge match,” he said.
“We have to watch-out for Combat d'Archers Montréal’s A Team, headed by Olivier,” said Lai.
He said that Archery Games Ottawa, the underdogs, can’t be neglected as the number 2 guy works twice as hard.
Montreal has won two out of the three tri-city tournaments and will be looking to defend their title.
The participation/entrance fee per person is $35.
There are more standard rules this time around. Rules can be found here.
The Tri-city tournament is a great way to test your skills and strength in a safe and competitive environment. Regular players and top-performing amateurs could use this opportunity to rub shoulders with the professionals.
Torontonians are welcome to come and cheer for the home team.
If you have any questions, you are requested to email Archers Arena at info@archersarena.com or call at (647)-992-7362. The public can follow the tournament and keep in touch on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too.

Each team will play every other team at least once.
Each match consists of 4 games. Each game runs until full elimination. If elimination is not achieved by 2:30 minutes, the game goes into INVADER mode.
The Home team has priority to select bows and choose their starting side of the arena.
Teams will switch sides after the second game of the match.
Each winning game is worth 1 point. Each match has a maximum value of 4 points.
The top 4 teams are determined by the most wins during the round robin.
If there is a tie for number of wins, the teams will face off with a best of 3 where the winner of the round-robin match when those teams faced each other will decide start with arrows or run and losing team of the match will choose court side.
Match Format
Rules
Starting Whistle
Players must start with their whole body behind the red line
Neutral Zone
At the start of each match, arrows are placed in the neutral zone are in mirror setup with foams facing each other.. Referees will ensure all arrows are within the lines.
Players can be tagged while standing in the neutral zone, but are not permitted to shoot.
Players will be called OUT for:
Shooting or throwing from within the Neutral Zone or with a foot on or over the line.
Jumping shots that finish with a foot on or over the line. Jumping is 2 feet off the ground at the same time.
At any time during a game, more than one player is allowed to cross to the enemy court to retrieve a single arrow at a time. Each player must clear that single arrow by carrying it back completely over to their own side of the neutral zone before being allowed to return to the enemy court to retrieve another arrow. Players are valid targets and may be shot and eliminated during this process..
Sideline Zone
The sideline area is out-of-bounds between the sniper towers. Players are not allowed to hide in or shoot from the sideline.
If a player dodges into the sideline, they must quickly return to the playing area.
If a player lingers in the sideline, any shots are invalid and the player will be called out
Arrows
A player may have more than one arrow in their possession at any time.
There will be 20 arrows in play
A player may retrieve an arrow from the opposing side but they will be vulnerable to elimination by their opponents.
If a player catches an arrow while crossed over on the opposing side, that catch will count as a revival for their team, but the player must proceed to ‘clear’ that arrow by carrying to across the neutral zone to their side - remaining vulnerable to elimination the entire time.
A player is OUT if an arrow hits their body, anything on their body (clothing, hair), or anything they are carrying/holding (bow, arrow)..
Ricochets are not valid kills. Maximum of one kill per shot - double kills are not permitted.
A player can catch an incoming arrow, if they catch the arrow that hit them before that arrow contacts anything else, they are safe, and they get 1 revive for their team up to 6 players in play
If the arrow makes contact with any person, object or thing such as including wall, bunker, other player before the catch the arrow is dead and the player is out.
If hit while in possession of an arrow, a player must either drop the arrow in place, pass it to a teammate within an arm's length, or toss it towards the back wall before entering the sideline.
A player can “steal” any arrow facing any direction from the ground in the neutral zone. If there is a dispute between two players who grab the same arrow from the neutral zone, the player with the head gets possession.
Players are not allowed to grab arrows out of another players hand.
Arrows count as an extension of the body. If the arrow a player is holding is hit directly by an enemy arrow, or if it redirects the enemy arrow, it counts as a hit.
Bow
Each player must keep their bow in their possession at all times. You are not permitted to deliberately drop the bow on ground.
The bow counts as an extension of a player’s body, If the bow is hit or otherwise redirects an enemy arrow, it counts as a hit.
Targets and Gong
Each fully knocked out target revives a single player from the sideline.
A gong will be placed 7 ft high on the red line. Directly hitting the gong with the head or shaft of the arrow (no ricochets or indirect hits) will jailbreak/revive the whole team. You can use the gong at any point in the game but only ONCE per game.
Players are NOT ALLOWED TO BLOCK the targets or gong. a player who temporarily blocks the target while moving is forgivable, but crouching, sitting, or kneeling in front of the target or jumping to block the gong is not permitted and will be called out..
You will be called out if the referee judges that you are blocking the targets beyond reasonable play (i.e. standing with multiple players in front). This is solely at the referee’s discretion. Calls from other players are not accepted.
The first incident of blocking results in being called out. Any subsequent incidents will result in a yellow card.
Hitting players in front of the target is not viewed as a “wasted shot” as you have still removed a player from the other team AND the shooter will be granted a revive.
Revivals
Only a player who is standing in the sideline area can be revived. If a player is hit and has not reached the sideline when a revival occurs, they cannot be revived. *This rule aims to prevent players from lingering on the field. The referee has the discretion to allow a revival if they see an honest effort to reach the sideline.
Players are revived in the order they reach the sideline. A player who deliberately jumps the line will be called out and the team will waste one revival. Any subsequent line jumping by any player on that team will result in a yellow card.
When revivals occur, all players, including sidelined youth or opposite-gender players, must rotate back into play in the order in which they were knocked out. As long as the starting lineup included the youth/opposite gender player, they do not need to jump the line for revivals, but also cannot be permanently sidelined.
If revived by a target or a catch, a player has 5 seconds to touch the back wall on their side before rejoining play.
Hits to a player before they touch the back wall do not count.
Any player who grabs an arrow or interferes with game play before touching the Revival Zone will be called out and may be penalized (carded).
INVADER
If a game exceeds 2 minute 30 seconds, players will be able to shoot from the neutral zone, but not past the opponent Neutral Zone line. A player’s foot must be completely behind line.
Mercy
The last person remaining on a team may raise their hand and call themselves out. Also, after 20 seconds of inactivity (hiding, not moving, not attempting to fire/catch or hit a target), the referee may call the player out.
Stoppages of play
Due to safety issues (dislodged mask, fallen player) or game issues (target knocked over), the referee may need to stop play mid-game. When the referee whistles, players are to return to their fence and drop their arrow. Play resumes when the referee next whistles. Players will be penalized if they attempt to gain an unfair advantage during these periods (gathering or moving arrows).
Any player can call for stoppage of play by yelling “STOP! STOP! STOP!” if they notice a safety concern, such as a broken/unpadded arrow, dislodged mask, or injured player. All players are to repeat the stop call to bring it to the notice of the referee who can blow the whistle. If stoppage is called, all players should freeze until the reason for stoppage is addressed. Any hits, catches or targets hit after stop is called are not counted. Targets and arrows will be reset if needed.
Discussion During the Match:
If at any point during the match, a team has an issue or concern they may have one representative from the team (preferably the team captain) speak to either the referee or tournament organizer or tournament supervisor. Please try to discuss with the referee or supervisor only between games in a calm tone.
Noise & Safety
Noise levels during tournament play must be kept at a reasonable volume so players can hear each other and the referee’s whistle. At any pause in play, the Referee can inform players and spectators that the Noise rule is in effect.
Noise Rule:
This rule ensures that each team will have two players who are allowed to call directions to their team. These players will be the team captain and the first player eligible for revival. If the referee deems that a team is being too loud they will receive a warning. If they do not correct their volume they will receive a team yellow card and will start the next game with one player on the sideline.
Spectators will be asked to leave the area if they are unable to keep noise within appropriate levels this is determined by the referee, organizer, or supervisor.
Infractions
Verbal Warnings Issued for accidental/disputable rule infractions or smaller offences that do not have a major impact on game play..These are issued at the referee’s discretion.
Note: Verbal warnings are NOT REQUIRED before being issued a card for below infractions.
Yellow Card = Out for the rest of current game and sidelined for subsequent game**

Two false starts
Excessive or unnecessary noise, including yelling, cheering, coaching, complaining, arguing, or heckling at other players or the ref.
Any play deemed by the referee to be unsafe
** For the game subsequent to the receipt of a Yellow Card, the yellow-carded player must start on the sideline, but can play the remainder of the match. As a result, the team must start the game with a 5-player lineup, but can use a revival to bring the team back to 6 players.
Red Card = Out for the match
A referee will issue a Red Card for the following offences:
A second Yellow Card offence in the same match results in an automatic red card
Aggressive behavior towards other players, the referee, or staff
Any violent or physical contact with another player, the referee, or staff
Continued complaining/arguing with refs; yelling over the field of play at the opposition
A player who receives a Red Card is immediately dismissed from play for the remainder of the match. As a result, regardless of the number of subs, the team must play with a 5 - player lineup for the remainder of the match. 2 red carded players means team must play with 4 - player lineup.
Cumulative Penalties
A player who receives 2 Red Cards or 5 Yellow Cards through the course of the tournament will be dismissed from play for rest of tournament. This dismissal takes effect immediately upon receipt of the final card. The dismissed player’s team must play short by the number of dismissed players for the remainder of the tournament. (i.e. 2 dismissals means 4 on field rather than 6.) Dismissed players are not eligible for a refund.

If you catch an arrow on your own side when multiple arrows hit you simultaneously, you are eliminated, but you will still get a revive for your team.Refs call if it is clearly one arrow after another.
Arrows are lined up with nock on the line and head facing directly towards the opponent.
Start of Game will be READY …. GO (go will be within 1-3)
False start/Early start will result in a warning, 2 early starts for the same game will result in a yellow card.
Accidentally or Intentionally swiping an opponent arrow in the neutral zone will result in a yellow card.

There is a new activity in Toronto and the police and media can’t stop Torontonians from keeping off it
Bubble Soccer is a transformational, mind-blowing, re-birth like experience for many. Some even go to the extent of comparing Bubble Soccer to the life-changing effects ayahuasca brings. But we don’t – we tell you things as is – only the truth and nothing but the truth.
But here we have 11 words of caution for you.
CAUTION: If you like to have fun - Bubble Soccer can get addicting.
The best part though, unlike any other activity – Bubble Soccer is everything and better.
Here are 9 reasons why you should be doing Bubble Soccer.
Legal – Bubble Soccer like all good things in the land of maple leaf – is completely legal. Imagine an uninterrupted adrenaline high where running around, kicking the ball and scoring goals isn’t the only way to score.
Healthy - Bubble Soccer is basically a combination of a game of soccer and a good hearty workout. With running around, bubble bumps – you break a sweat. And good things come to those who sweat. So, sweat, smile and repeat.
Easy – You don’t need to be a professional soccer player to play Bubble Soccer. Isn’t that some relief? There’s always a first time, some say.
Safe - Unlike traditional soccer, Bubble Soccer is less aggressive but still more fun. We at Archers Arena, take special care for your safety. We have expert coaches, that double up as guardian angels or as some call them ‘shamans’.
Recreational - You can do it with your friends. Actually, Bubble Soccer is the only drug (apart from Combat Archery and Nerfing) you and your friends should be taking.
For all ages – Bubble Soccer at Archers Arena is for everyone that is 130 cm or taller – this is about 4 ft 3 inches tall – which is mostly everyone age 8 and above.
Affordable – While most other addictions come with a heavy price tag – Bubble Soccer does not. We have the best rates for Bubble Soccer in Toronto. And if you book for 8 people and above, you get a wholesale price. Also, you can quit anytime.
Celebrations – Birthday, Proposal, Divorce, Break-up, Date, Job promotion, anniversaries, victory party or an impeachment whatever the cause is – there is nothing that a game of Bubble Soccer – can’t help you celebrate.
Fun – Apart from everything else you’ve read so far – there are only good trips with Bubble Soccer. Say goodbyes to BTs with Bubble Soccer.
Secret T(r)ip – DO NOT TELL ANYONE - If you know someone wanting to celebrate his/her birthday, hit us up – get them to play FREE.
